Epson Stylus R360 Photograph Printer Review
Epson R360 Introduction
The Epson Stylus R360 is one of the top end models of the Stylus R series photo printers. Upgrades from other versions include an increased LCD screen size, improved printing times, and memory card reading for PC free-printing. As with the majority of new Epson photo printers it uses six colour inkjet cartridges (that's a light cyan and a light magenta as well as the standard selection of black, yellow, cyan, and magenta) to keep down the overall cost of printing.
Printing Options
The Epson R360 has clearly been designed with the photo printer in mind. You can print A4 borderless pictures perfectly every time without any slight margins. As well as standard paper the R360 is obviously designed for use with photographic quality paper but it can also be used to print labels directly onto CD and DVD discs.
Printer-Free Printing With The Epson Stylus R360
The LCD monitor is an impressive and functional 3.5 inches. The user interface is both intuitive and extremely functional providing a number of image editing and printing options. These options let you print directly from a memory card or via a PictBridge compatible camera. As well as the standard view and print options it is also possible to make minor alterations to the image as well as resize it. The Epson Stylus R360 is unique in that, without even turning your PC on, it is possible to print single frames from a stored video clip.
Epson Photo Enhance
The much lauded Epson Photo Enhance technology serves to automatically improve the quality of your photographs. It helps to sharpen prominent colours, reduce blur, and much more. Using an optional adapter you can even print directly from your mobile phone and improve the quality of the pictures without using your PC.
Epson Easy PhotoPrint Software
For those that prefer the increased functionality that the PC and photo editing software has to offer the Epson R360 includes Epson Easy PhotoPrint software. This application helps you manage, edit, and improve pictures before printing.
Replacing The Inkjet Cartridges
Photo printers typically cost a lot of money in ink for the regular user. The Epson R360 uses six different colour ink cartridges - black, yellow, cyan, magenta, light cyan, and light magenta. The two extra colours improve the clarity and quality of printouts but they also make printing photographs more cost efficient. You only need replace each of the colours individually as they run out, rather than replace an entire stock of ink when you run out of one colour.
Epson Ink Cartridge Options
We stock both original Epson inkjet cartridges and Epson compatible ink cartridges. The Epson cartridges are more expensive but offer an overall better finish. Our Epson compatible ink cartridges are manufactured to a very high standard and are designed for a high quality finish. They are less expensive than the original Epson cartridges even when purchasing the latter in a multipack of six. A multipack is the ideal starter pack or perfect for keeping on top of your ink requirements because it provides one original Epson cartridge of each of the six colours at a reduced rate.
